01 ISO7388-1 | DIN69871

Steep Taper SK30 | SK40 | SK50

The ISO 7388-1 (formerly 69871) for steep taper holders is the traditional interface for milling spindles.
The application range extends from fine machining to heavy machining and the steep taper is characterized by a robust design. The steep taper is clamped in the milling spindle via an additional (not included) tightening bolt, and centering takes place via the taper surface.
Speeds of 12,000 rpm are recommended, but the majority of WSW ISO7388-1 holders are finely balanced with G2.5 up to 25,000 rpm, so that all application areas can be covered.

Material:
Alloy case hardening steel with a tensile strength in the core of min. 950 N/mm2.
Finish:
Case hardened HRC 58 ± 2 (HV 700 ± 50).
Depth of hardening 0.8 mm ± 0.2 mm
Accuracy:
Taper angle - tolerance quality AT 3 according to DIN 2080
Surface roughness of taper max. 0.001 mm
Coolant supply:
Form A - without internal coolant supply
Form AD - central coolant supply
Form AD/AF (AD/B) - additional coolant supply via the collar (closable)
All data are valid for the articles marked with WSW

Steep Taper BT30 | BT40 | BT50

The ISO 7388-2 (JIS B 6339 (MAS BT)) for steep taper mounting is a traditional interface for milling spindles according to the Japan Industrial Standard.
The application range is from fine machining to heavy machining, and the steep taper features a robust design. The steep taper is clamped in the milling spindle by means of an additional (not included in the scope of delivery) tightening bolt, and centering takes place via the taper surface.
Speeds of 12,000 rpm are recommended.
The majority of WSW ISO7388-2 holders are finely balanced with G2.5 up to 25,000 rpm.

HSK40 | HSK50 | HSK63 | HSK100

The HSK spindle interface has become the standard for machining centers. Clamping takes place via the taper with face contact.
A very precise centering and a fixed axial positioning of the holder in the spindle with a high repeat accuracy when changing is given with the HSK interface. Torque transmission for Form A is additionally achieved by driver grooves on the taper shank.
The Form A, Form E and Form F interfaces are primarily used for high-speed machining.

05 ISO26233 Capto® (PSC)

ISO26223 Capto® (PSC)
The ISO26223 spindle interface is an internationally widely used, modular quick-change tooling system that can be used in many types of machines. A particular advantage is the significant reduction in setup and changeover times with simultaneous high tool flexibility. It is particularly widespread in multitask machines (turning-milling centers).
Torque transmission and centering take place via the polygonal cone with face contact. This achieves fixed axial positioning and high torsional rigidity.
